Late morning and meeting point for 30ish of us for the start of our annual Three Counties coach tour of various historical monuments, landmarks, stately homes, museums, galleries et al. A lot to fit in in one day!!

Changing trains at Leicester and I would have had time for a swift one had this pub been open at its advertised time of 11:00. I waited until about ten past eleven and went back to the nearby railway station for my connecting train.

Very large, quite smart pub next to the railway station. Surprisingly un-crowded, given its location, between 6 and 7pm on a Thursday evening. I think I’m right in saying that Steamin’ Billy beers continue to be brewed at Grainstore Brewery.
