Lunchtime - a very nice welcome on a dismal day weather-wise. And a dismal day in Thanet in January takes some beating for dreariness.

I had never been here so I decided to pay a visit on a Tuesday lunchtime. Unfortunately I found the place closed with a note on the door to say that as from June 2017 the place will not be open on Monday to Friday lunchtimes.

Evening visit to start a short Birchington / Minnis Bay crawl. Few in with much talk of Millwall supporters' reputation. Pleased to be told this pub now regularly opens on Monday evenings.
