Lunchtime visit, this pub has recently reopened after a refurbishment and there was a smell of fresh paint. We sat in an alcove and enjoyed our beer.

30 Jun 2017 (Philip Pirrip)
Unplanned last visit of the evening with trains running up to 240 minutes late. Road transport to London ensued in due course.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - Burton Bitter3.80AcceptableBland. No choice as other beers were seemingly having lines cleaned

Mid evening brief visit. I was bemused by the explanation as to why a half of Burton Bitter was £2 when a pint was £3.50 especially as the till button pressed was for Premium Beer! It was of little use to be told I could have had 20% off if I had visited between 4 and 6 with a valid train ticket or pass.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - Burton Bitter3.80AcceptableNot had this for a very long time but at £2 a half it might be a long time until the next, here at least
