Early evening, but still fairly buzzing. Fair number of real ale addicts in. Met up with a couple of people from Ratebeer for the pub's cask beer night which is every Thursday. The cask is on the bar and beer is served on gravity straight from it. I liked Dix, probably the best of the brew pubs in Vancouver.

| Dix BBQ & Brewery - "Gillian 2" IPA | 6.30 | | Hazy orange gol with thin of white head. Intense grapefruitcitrus hop aroma. Grassy rather than piney. Good biscuity malt underpins the hop. Well constructed. Then a rather fabulous hop finish. Alcohol is fine. The hop on end is really astringent, flowery, intene, grassy, grapefruit. Malt carries some juiciness. Hop finish really puckers the gum. Is the hop too much on the finish? Yes just a bit too much for me. |

The pub is found in Vancouver, BC, Canada, V6B 2M6.
Near the BC Stadium so fairly sports orientated with TV screens above the bar showing multiple sports channels. Couple of pool tables and brew kit is on view opposite the longish wooden bar. Lots of dark wood in metal. Stripped industrial building. Tables for food which, as the title suggests, is mainly BBQ and grills.
We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
