Unexpected, heavy rain cut short my rambling intentions just as I reached this pub – so in I went. Most tables were taken by diners, so I sat in the small bar area, which smelled strongly of fresh paint and where unnecessarily loud music was playing. If you can’t beat them, join them – so ham, egg and chips was ordered.
