1607hrs and many sitting outside enjoying the warm sunny afternoon. I joined them as the log fire was in full burn inside with the associated heat and smell which would've been welcome on a cold winter's day.

11:45 First ones in, but soon started to get busy with drinkers. One thing that jarred, the barman was talking to us about beer and another member of staff came and admonished him for leaning on the bar. The pub manager was watching him on CCTV and had alerted her. Big Brother.

The pub is found in North Weald, Essex, CM16 6BU.
Lovely old timber framed building. Restored interior but with lots of features. One guest ale from a variety of brewers judging from the pumpclips on display. Located at the bottom of the drive leading to North Weald station on the Epping Ongar preserved railway.
We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 6 different beers and tried 3 of them.
