The pub is found in Hackney, Greater London, E5 8JQ.
This pub was established as the Three Sisters by 1871 and occupies a prominent position at a road junction beside Hackney Downs. The pub is wedge-shaped, now all knocked-through to a single room with an island bar. The decor has a somewhat ‘distressed’ appearance. A few pavement tables give views across to the park. The pub has recently (2013) been renamed The Star by Hackney Downs, and various music events are promoted here.
We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
