Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Distant Hills (was Howard Town) - Dinting Arches | 4.50 | Copper colour with slight haze and thin off whtie head. Decent hoppiness on aroma. Very very hoppy. Uncultured. Love the hop on this. Almost thorny on the finish, so herby it's outrageous. | |
Appleford - River Crossing | 3.80 | Chestnut colour, some haze. Bubbly beige head. Oddish green apple aroma. Not ready yet. Will be a good session bitter in say 12 hours time. Very malty too, some coffee. | |
Hepworth - Ridgeway IPA | 5.50 | Gold colour, haze. Sherberty hop aroma. OK malt in mouth and then the biggest attack of hop I think I've ever had in a UK beer. Really hits you. Unusual to have such a citric hop finish. Aarghhhh. Crazy hop. | |
Tunnel - Linda Lear Beer | 3.70 | Pale chestnut colour with a slight haze. Thin beige head. I love the hop on this. Sharp US style grapefruity, lots of flavour. Lots of hop, but not sure it works, but lots of grapefruit hop. | |
Dark Star - Spring Equinox | 4.00 | Gold with thin white head. Bit thin and ascetic on the aroma. Hoppy, but the hops are a bit thin. Disappointing Dark Star beer. | |
Country Life - Old Appledore | 3.70 | Copper colour, slight haze, lasting off white head. Buttery bitter. Good bitter hop on end. Decent hop. OK bitter if a bit odd. | |
Acorn - Ginger Nuts | 4.20 | Gold beer with thin white head. Ginger aroma, bit thin. But still got something about it. I thought it was pretty good. I like ginger beers on the whole and this one was a bit more subtle. |
