I came in here as the pub looked like a proper boozer, and it was just opposite the tram terminus and railway station. The pub is remarkably intact, but probably not quite up to Camra Regional Inventory standards. I enjoyed my time in here, the landlady and locals were very friendly and chatty. The landlady told me that she would like to restore some old fireplaces that have been covered up.
