Early evening - we sat out front and had a pint while our takeaway fish and chips were being prepared. Busy inside - bills itself as a “gastro pub” - so mainly eaters and fancy prices.

Travelled up from Kent today for a week at Low Newton. Booked a table here on-line. We weren’t expecting to share the restaurant with a hen party of 23! Very busy with other diners as well. Beer selection seemed interesting- but I was rather shocked to be charged £4.40 a pint (am I getting old and grumpy?)
