So many pubs seem to be disappearing I thought I'd get a few more visits in to places I've seen whilst driving through villages. Nice pub this. Seemed to be doing a trade in meals in the back room. Nice garden too.

The Dover Castle Inn is a 17th century coaching inn in London Road, built around 1640, once owned by the Lord of The Manor and sold to Shepherd Neame in the 1700s. Closed early September 2026 with sign on door saying no electricity but pub's website says seeking new tenants.
