18:45 We occupied the gap between the early doors drinkers and the Thursday night poker club. Long chat with Julie about the state of the world. Roger the brewer turned up about half past seven and bought me a pint. Excellent.

Train watching at Crownthorpe just down the hill from the pub so obvious place to come for a drink after. 12:30 we were the first in. Had a good conversation with the Landlady about local pub news.

Buffy's corner pub. L shaped brick bar with warped wood top. Sofas and separate eating area. Good pub for a session. Convenient bus stops outside. Lunchtime and there were a few locals scattered around the bar.

Wow this place was hard to find. We drove around for ages and eventually had to phone them - not that that helped as the signal died just as they picked up. I liked the relaxed feel to the place. I could see myself sitting here all afternoon.
