12:00 Lunch stop after a walk. First in. Soon got busy. Very cosy pub with a wood burning stove blazing away in one corner. Excellent food. Waitress service for both drinks and food so more of a restaurant feel to the place.

Early evening on a damp October Tuesday evening. Busy with groups of sporting drinkers and dining couples. I'd come for a pint with my father in law.

A few groups having lunch with a lone binoculared birdwatcher at the bar on a sunny February Wednesday. Seriously good food.

Double fronted red brick pub with pantile roof in open countryside in The Common, at the edge of a small village, with an attractive garden. One large bar with bare brick walls and ancient timbering and a further restaurant in an extension to the side. Re-opened summer 2023 after a period of closure of roughly one year.
We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 4 different beers and tried 3 of them.
