12:20 Something of a contrast to the pubs we had just visited in Westminster, we came to Battersea to check out a potential pub for the website but as we were passing popped in here to see what the current situation was. Sadly as I have recorded in the pub description the main feature of note is no longer accessible. We had the pub to ourselves and got a lot of info from the Guvnor about forthcoming changes in the area. The coming of the Underground and the associated building of blocks of flats will change this area totally. No real ale so I drank Ruddles Smooth a beer I had not seen before. I have to say it tasted better than the cask version.

The pub is found in Battersea, Greater London, SW8 4AG.

Street corner local in Bradmead, rebuilt in the 1930s. This pub featured on CAMRA's Pub Heritage site as having Regional Importance because of the unchanged Saloon Bar at the rear. Unfortunately this room no longer accessible to the public and the pub has therefore had its heritage status changed. The front bar has a stage at one end and the pub is noted for live music at the weekends. It is directly opposite the Battersea Power Station rebuilding project and is due to be closed and demolished in the next eighteen months as part of the area's regeneration. Subsequently demolished.
