Lunchtime. I am cycling (for 3 days) from the Olympic Park, Stratford to Norwich for the CAMRA Winter Beer Festival. This was my first pub stop. A real traditional pub - busy with Sunday lunchers.

A fine old country pub on Roydon’s High Street and close to the railway station. Of 18th century construction, it has retained some of its old charm. Separate bars and dining room, large garden at rear. Has a large car park. The standard selection of three cask beers does not vary here.
