The pub is found in Hoxton, Central London, N1 3DT.
A large pub in a residential area with a long and interesting history. The pub used to stand beside a pleasure ground and was a popular edge-of-London destination for a day out in years gone by. Vestiges of the pleasure grounds survive as a public park and within the pub are framed posters advertising race meetings, balloon ascents etc.. Best known today for its upstairs theatre, the pub has front and back rooms and also has a reputation for its food.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 7 different beers and tried 4 of them.
