Sunday lunchtime but diners were confined to the rear bar whilst the front bars were doing very nicely with wet sales. Full pints to the brim with a miniscus was a welcome treat.

Quiet and unspoilt backstreet pub now run by Fuller's. Interesting collection of old ties on the ceilings and walls of the back room.

Pretty busy at lunchtime with a wedding party in. So we sat outside on the patio bit with tables. Worth coming to as the interior is really interesting.

The pub is found in Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX1 4EH.
In Alfred Street, one of the oldest pubs in Oxford apparently. Low ceilinged 2 room pub, very small inside especially if you have a dozen or so more people in it. Excellent character and plenty to explore on the walls.
We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 11 different beers and tried 7 of them.
