One Mile End Brewery was established in August 2014, brewing in the cellar of the White Hart pub in Whitechapel on a kit which had previously been used for brewing by the pub’s management. Rapid success soon made this brewery too small, and in the spring of 2016 One Mile End relocated to Tottenham, although they will continue also to brew some beer in Whitechapel. The Tottenham brewery is located on an industrial park and is the former Redemption Brewery premises – that brewery having relocated at the same time to a bigger unit nearby.
