Evening visit just before the quiz began. The rail time screens misled me that my train was on time. Obviously a beer swilling house with reasonable northern pricing.

Mid afternoon and busy, we found a table by the window. Great pub however spoilt by loud music and surly barman.

I liked this little pub a lot and sat here until the departure board indicated that my London-bound train was six minutes away. CAMRA discount claimed.

Railway themed it has live departure screens for Wigan Wallgate and Wigan North Western stations. Reached the last 4 in the 2017 CAMRA National Pub of the Year competition. 7 handpumps.
