Somehow in my memory I recalled this as a little, cottage-style, country pub. It turns out that it is a bit of a food factory, in full swing at Sunday lunchtime, and I end up sitting outside as the small area available for those just having a drink is packed to the rafters.

A large pub in a rural area just beyond the edge of London. It stands beside Epping Forest and was rebuilt in its present form in 1975. Very much oriented to family dining, there is a large car park, a garden and an outside play area.
We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
