The pub was closed and will close permanently today being sold off at auction after 500 yeas as a pub. so sad to see. all makes me wonder if I should have drank in here instead of going to spoons but too late to worry.

The pub is found in Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN16 0AN.
The oldest pub in town being a one roomer with L-shaped bar in Sheep Street, with two-sided small bar, beams, etched windows, a beer loving landlord making a real find. Two permanent beers and up to three guest ales. Potbelly beers are a permanent fixture there. Closed and sold by Charles Wells and now a free house with a live music bent. Once more closed and sold at auction and now permanently closed.
We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 7 different beers and tried 4 of them.
