The pub is found in Leytonstone, Greater London, E11 4EA.

This very large pub stands in a residential area to the north side of Leytonstone tube station. It was established by the local Savill’s Brewery in 1905 as the Heathcote Arms (named after local landowners) and passed with all of that brewery’s pubs to Charington’s during the 1920s. It did not obtain a full licence until 1948 and Sunday trading has only been permitted since 1970. The pub became a Charrington’s training centre, and was then sold to M&B in 2007, being branded for a while as a Stonegate house. There were several periods of closure before the pub was acquired by the expanding Electric Star chain and re-opened as the Heathcote & Star in October 2017. The pub has a substantial main bar area, a smaller lounge to the side in what was the Public Bar, a large games room to the rear and a garden beyond.
