A work colleague and I have 30 minutes to spare before checking-in for our Eurostar. This bar is selected more-or-less at random, perhaps on the basis that it had other customers who clearly were not eating.

When Brussels Midi station was redeveloped a few years ago, a whole line of identikit bar/restaurants appeared in Place Victor Horta to the west side of the station. This establishment is typical, with an abundance of pavement tables, a good-sized interior and providing food as well as beer.
