The pub is found in Wood Green, Greater London, N22 7TB.
Earth Ale was a small London micro-brewery specialising in eco-friendly beers, often with unusual ingredients more at home in a kitchen than a brewery. Since 2018 it has also had a taproom, parked in Blue House Yard, close to Wood Green tube station. I say ‘parked’ because the taproom is actually a double-decker bus, although it’s not going to be going very far as it lacks an engine. By day the bus functions as a café called Cakes & Ladders (board games are a speciality) and at night it’s a bar, with outside tables to supplement the bus seats. No cask ale is sold here. Closed when the brewery moved to Oxfordshire in 2021 - an alternative use for the bus was then sought. Re-opened with new name, same venue in April 2022.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 2 different beers and tried both.
