This would have been my second visit, except that it was closed and looking a bit sad when I tried to come here earlier this year. A large group of us came in here to wait for a bus from outside the pub, we had an extremely warm welcome and some of our group decided to stay an extra hour and catch the next bus.

This pub in Whalley Road has been leased by Bridgehouse Brewery from Star (Heineken) pubs, it had previously had frequent changes of landlord and a period of closure. The future now looks promising with this pub aiming to be the heart of the community as well as offering fine dining and accommodation. New licensees again seen in summer 2021.
