Mid afternoon friendly welcome we chatted to the friendly barmiad while folk to-ed and fro-ed during our pint stay. Plastic glasses for those wishing to enjoy their drink at the outside seating areas. Barmaid informs us the pub will soon have its own WC's next door saving the trek halfway to Edinburgh to use the station facilities!

Mid afternoon visit to this pleasant relaxed and enviable station waiting room. Just myself inside and one other chap sitting out on the platform side seating area.

I had not been here before so I planned my rail journey to give me almost one hour here whilst changing trains on my journey home. I have to say that I was disapppointed, just not what I was expecting, cask beer drinkers were notably absent.

Located on Platform 1 at Grantham railway station with entrances off the street and from the platform this micropub opened on 2nd November 2019 in the former parcels office. Real ales are sold through 3 handpumps and a range of basic snacks and hot drinks is also available. There is limited outside seating on the platform too.
