2nd visit of the outing: Our party on this outing had started to grow in numbers following a good few turning up at the Halfway House pub before our attractive walk here through woods and along the odd road or two. A warm welcome and seating to be had in among the diners which this pub was certainly attracting by our time of arrival a little after 1pm. Attractively decorated with pictures and original fireplaces that lent it an "olde worlde" charm.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Timothy Taylor - Landlord4.30GoodVery good head and lacing and lasting on this Keighley-based pale ale from north-west of Bradford. A dry bitter first bite. A fruited hoppiness rising with the merest hint of citrus, aided by its combination of hops: Whitbread Golding Variety/Goldings, Fuggles and Savinjski Goldings. A bitter note jumping up for a pat and a moreishly hoppy bitterness in its tail-wagging on its way out with a hop-infused fruity note sinking.
