Ian and I had arrived in Newcastle about 5pm and were staying a metro ride away from here. This pub is in a row of shops about 30m from where I used to live in Newcastle 30 years ago. Back then Micropubs hadn't been invented. The pub was nicely done out. There seemed to be a back room but we stayed in the front and looked out the window. The off licence opposite was now a bakery.
