Ah, my kind of place. Empty but then it was only late afternoon and it is a bit away from things. ...and also Leeds seemed pretty empty anyway; a bit "Day of the Triffids" to be honest. The pub was nice and comfortable with board games and the like.

The Fox & Newt brews three regular beers, and serves food too. Pleasant atmosphere, some sport on and some nice examples of interior design, including a cast-iron fireplace. Friendly staff, and free wi-fi. Clientele ranges from students to professionals, and well worth a visit. Beers from Leeds, Moorhouse's, Beartown, Everard's & Adnams to name a few in addition to beers from The Fox Brewing Co.
| Burley Street Brewhouse - Clarendon Dark Mild | 3.60 | | Lovely example of the style. Creamy, but not too heavy, with a smokey, roasted coffee body. Hardly any hops to overpower things. Moreish. |
| Burley Street Brewhouse - IPA | 4.70 | | Pale, citrussy and not too hoppy; with a creamy malt backbone. More like Deuchars or another english IPA than an US-Style hop-bomb! Good Session beer. |
| Burley Street Brewhouse - Nightshade | 4.00 | | No-nonsense copper-hued best bitter. A little light on hops, and very sweet due to toffee/caramel flavours dominating. Good nontheless, and worth a try for sure. |
