Only a short walk up the road from the Oddfellows, Victoria and the Pub & Kitchen, this made a nice place to finish the evening before catching a Metro from the nearby Tynemouth Station. An amazingly welcoming and successful pub.

Strikingly traditional pub. Mid-afternoon on a Friday and only three other customers in.

A really good boozer in a good state of repair, I liked this place. Had a good chat with the chap behind the bar.

Single room bar in Tynemouth Road, with no T.V., games machines or food. Built in 1799 and present owner has been serving since 1984. Old fashioned drinking hole.
