Evening. Sign in the front door window say in new ownership and closed until further notice. Guess has either succumbed to loss of trade with 3 newish nearby micropubs or to the lure of conversion to flats.

Early evening and the tables were filling up.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - Southern Star4.00GoodA pale golden beer with southern hemisphere hops and signature Fuller’s biscuit malt tastes. A nod in the direction of hoppy pale ales with foreign hops, rather than a full-blown effort I my view.
Goacher's - Fine Light Ale3.70Not Tried
Camerons - Brown Dog4.10Not Tried
01 Nov 2017 (ChrisE)
Lunchtime, virtually all the tables were laid out for diners whilst the vast majority of customers were sitting at the bar drinking, but no room for us, we found a couple of vacant stools in a corner, looked at the empty tables and suffered the sound of Absolute Radio from a loudspeaker directly above our heads. We just stopped for the one.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Goacher's - Fine Light Ale3.70Excellent
Theakston - Infallible4.20ExcellentJust a taster and in good condition, but we both opted for the tried and trusted Goacher's.

Ever since ChrisE put this pub on and brought its Goacher Light serving potential to my attention I've been wanting to come. Nice relaxed pub playing some Mowtown. It was late afternoon and we had 20 mins before our train left. Isabel liked the crisps.
