First in the pub on a sunny Friday morning.Inter alia, our dogs caused a minor riot, and we pondered whether ghosts had a concept of morning. Busy with locals and walkers.

Our first visit since the new landlord and landlady took over:a local couple, they've tidied up the pub, but its character hasn't changed.Busy on a February lunchtime with walkers and a wake.

Yorkshire Dales - Muker Silver4.00ExceptionalA "Yorkshire Helles", deathly pale but more accessible than in the past.A long profound hop blast. I like this beer.

Ten of us in for a lunchtime drink and snack. Not too busy.

Theakston - Old Peculier5.60ExceptionalIf Uncle George was rating, he would give 10. That aside, wonderfully dark and treacly, without being cloying.Epic.
Yorkshire Dales - Muker Silver4.00ExcellentAlmost as good as the other night.

Popular walkers and locals pub close to the Pennine Way. Busy with dogs and walkers on a half term lunchtime
BeerABVScoreNotes
Yorkshire Dales - Muker Silver4.00ExcellentVery pale, dominated by hops.
Yorkshire Dales - Crow Trees4.20ExcellentA darker beer Not sure if I'd call it a mild, as hop notes predominate, and not warming enough for an old. I'll settle for a dark bitter.
