A good fairly busy pub, unfortunately it is threatened with closure as the pub's owners have recently applied for permission to turn it in to two four bedroom houses. There are a number of campaigns in progress to try and save the pub.

The pub is found in Hampstead, Greater London, NW3 1JD.

In New End, was run as an untouched traditional family run freehouse for many years with a Fuller's emphasis. The family left and a small chain took it over and made a minimum of changes. Outside seating at the front on a raised paved area. Closed summer/autumn 2017 and subsequently reopened with change of name, to Hampstead Lounge & Jazz Club, and ambience and decor. The downstairs cellar-bar has been converted into a small, intimate jazz club with its own stage and bar but with no real ale. Reverted to original name of Duke of Hamilton in November 2018.

We have visited this pub 12 times, seen 21 different beers and tried 9 of them.
