Stopped off whilst waiting for train from London Bridge. Not been here before during the evening and it was properly busy. I sat upstairs for the first time which is more intimate than downstairs and I had a nice view over the balcony to the ground floor. Good range of the Fuller's beers on show.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - Jack Frost4.50GoodChestnut with beige head. Malt and apricot/peach/plum aroma. Much more fruit than in the bottle version. Touch of vanilla too. Fruit in mouth is full and reminiscent of victoria plums. Then good finish. A real surprise especially the prune/plum finish

I popped in here on my way to Utobeer in Borough Market to see if they had any of their winter beer selection on handpull (especially the London Porter), but they didn't, so I had a half of Discovery instead. Not too busy on a Saturday early lunchtime. Still a good looking pub on the inside and I would imagine it is heaving on a Friday after work
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - Discovery Blond3.90AcceptableGolden, thin beige head. Better than in a bottle. Cross between a lager and a summer ale. I can see why it does so well. Easy to drink, some toast/biscuity/juicy malt. A little pear drop fruit. Fine in mouth. Finish has some rounded citrus. Fine, if not too exciting

Reasonably busy on a Saturday afternoon. I was much taken with the sweep of both the bar and the staircase. Can imagine that it is busy on weekdays after work
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - Discovery Blond3.90AcceptableGolden ale, lasting bubbly white head. Nice lemon/orange aroma bit of caramel and butter, mouthfeel is ok, not exciting. Ginish has some citrus fruit and a bit of dryness. Fine, not a great beer, but ok
