The pub is found in Derby, Derbyshire, DE1 2SN.
A traditional style of house. One large bar with large pool table to one side. In the Railway Station district of the City. 4 handpumps on the bar counter. Famous for its Bass from the jug. Long standing licensee David Lalor ruled here until he left in December 2013. At January 2014 the pub is boarded up with a heavy security door and metal shuttering surround. After a period of closure the pub re-opened. Closed again March 2023 and apparently seeking new tenants.
We have visited this pub 15 times, seen 4 different beers and tried 2 of them.
