2115 to 2145 hours visit. The range of cask beers was down to just one tonight. Upon further questioning it transpires the existing lessees are leaving on Friday so stocks are being run into the ground as, at this time, no future arrangements opening have been finalised. I wonder if Everards might make this one of their partnership pubs with a local micro-brewer.

I can always say this is where I was when Chelsea went through to the Champions League final in 2012. The barman had bet on a 2-2 score at 22-1 (£5 bet).

Everards (see entries against Joule's & Robinsons whilst its new brewery was being built) - Beacon Hill (was Beacon)3.80ExcellentA quick half, before the last train, went down the hatch in one to great applause from my tastebuds. This followed a more leisurely pint, I hasten to add.
Everards (see entries against Joule's & Robinsons whilst its new brewery was being built) - Tiger4.20GoodI think we all forget, in the rush for "extreme" beer experiences, that people at the likes of Everards produce a fine and traditional bitter.
Marston's - Pedigree4.50Not TriedInteresting development to have this on the cask menu. Not seen anything but Everards own at this venue before.

The pub is found in Leicester, Leicestershire, LE1 6FE.

Traditional town centre boozer only 3 minutes from the railway station platforms in Granby Street. The pool table was the centre of attraction until the early 2013 refurbishment which gave it an Ale House theme with 13 handpumps in sets of 5, 3 and 5 - some of which regularly carry ciders. At May 2013 a CAMRA card holders' discount of 30p pp on real ales and ciders applied but this was withdrawn in Autumn 2013 with a change of management who, instead, reduced some prices for all customers to become more competitive locally.

We have visited this pub 12 times, seen 12 different beers and tried 5 of them.
