Busy at night, quiet in the day; and can be a little pricey. But North still represents the high-water mark for beer bars in Leeds. Excellent beer festivals, excellent range of beers which rotate a lot more than they used to. Still always worth a visit.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Rooster's - Wild Mule3.90ExcellentAwesome beer - and now a regular of sorts at North. Tight head with a pale, pale body - and masses of grapefruity hop aroma. Always in good condition at North.
Sierra Nevada - Brown Ale5.50ExcellentThat typical Sierra Nevada bonfire toffee/caramel taste is there, but with a much milder bitterness than, say, Pale Ale. Smoother and very drinkable; and doesnt taste like the abv.
Erdinger - Urewiess5.00GoodNote: ABV is estimated. A new recipe from Erdinger. Much more solid Weiss taste, similar to Schniederwiess. Woody and piney on the nose but smooth and refreshing. Try it while you can.
Victory Brewing Company - Prima Pils5.30GoodTasted as part of the US Beer Fest 2009. Although nothing like a pilsner, VPP is refreshing enough, with an earthy, straw-like nose and a good bitterness. More akin to a Kolsch, with a pale yellow colour.

Seating can be at a premium and service a little slow at times, but this bar has a good feel about it and on a Saturday night with a 2am licence (also doorman policy) was an excellent place to listen to music, watch the clientele, but most importantly drink a wide range of draught and bottled beers from the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Moortgat - Duvel8.50ExceptionalOne of the best Belgian beers, a lovely straw coloured hoppy beer
Sierra Nevada - Pale Ale5.00GoodCan be a bit sweet, but a good satisfying beer
Erdinger - Dunkel5.00GoodGood malt on this brown wheat beer. Very interesting flavour
Rooster's - Liquorice Stout5.00GoodSatisfying rich dry stout with hops, burnt malt and a hint of liquorice
Schneider - Weisse5.00AcceptableGood wheat beer, with a nutty finish
