Mid Sunday afternoon - only a handful of drinkers in - a few enjoying the sun-soaked benches outside. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable barman. Good improvement on the recent previous incarnations of this establishment.

The pub is found in Islington, Central London, N1 9PF.

73 White Lion Street. Previously a Hobgoblin but in 2012 changed name again to The Fallen Angel. Closed in the summer of 2013, re-opened as a craft beer pub operated by Barworks, in May 2014, reverting to its old name, Three Johns - three 18th century radicals. Large vaulted bar and slightly smaller room off. Benches outside on the pavement in Baron Street.

We have visited this pub 17 times, seen 44 different beers and tried 26 of them.
