Visits Details

26 Oct 2011 (Alenomore)
1915. A bit of a chequered past this pub and my first visit here this year. Recently closed down but now fully re-decorated inside and out with a fully refurbished bar area and four new handpumps. The new lessee has installed an experienced manageress and she is very friendly and chatty and optimistic that the pub will succeed. And after this visit, I second that.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - Red Fox4.30ExcellentFullers autumn seasonal and served in top condition here. A fruity red ale. And only £3 a pint too?
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00AcceptableThis should be a very good ale, but what has happened to Doombar recently! Acceptable, but not like the old days. Should be much better. Again, £3 a pint.
