Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Spire - Guards Heavy | 3.70 | Red/brown darker bitter with good malt character and a little hoppiness leading to a bitter finish. My score 16/20. | |
Grafton - Jon Boy | 3.80 | Lots of fruity hoppiness in this with a good balance of malt. My score 16/20. | |
Acorn - Burning Bails | 4.80 | Pale strong bitter with strong hop character and good balance and body. My score 15/20. | |
Falstaff - Cancer the Crab | 4.00 | Pale golden ale with a dry hop and malt character. My score 14/20. | |
Leatherbritches - Spiced Berry Mild | 4.70 | Red in colour, initial spiciness is taken over by fruity maltiness finishing with a dry, spicy aftertaste rather like Christmas Cake. Not sure it works that well in a mild. My score 13/20. | |
Salopian - Geisha | 4.40 | Not poor in quality but not to my taste. I believe the hop used is my least favourite, the Japanese Sorachi, giving a resiny, aromatic taste like cold tea, lemon grass etc. My score 8/20. |
