Evening until close. Having been clocked for giving a recent poor review I had a good discussion with the Guv about beer choice options and business pressures

BeerABVScoreNotes
Volden - Pale (formerly Pale Ale) was 4.6%4.20AcceptableJust a half, just about acceptable
King Beer (formerly W.J. King) - Elixir #1 APA4.80PoorWarned this was cloudy. It WAS cloudy and pretty insipid - not conditioned out at all it seems. Somehow reinforced my general regard for King beers
Hop Stuff - Renegade IPA5.60Not TriedWarned to avoid as end of cask
03 Jan 2016 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening, after the band had packed up, until close.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Hop Stuff - Smoked Brown Ale6.40GoodMade with infusion of Lapsang Souchong tea
Tiny Rebel - Cwtch4.60Not TriedJust a taster and one sniff was enough to reject this lemon juice concoction which cliptually describes itself as a Welsh Red Ale. I fear for British taste buds as this has won 2015 CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain
King Beer (formerly W.J. King) - Northern Lights4.20Not Tried
08 Nov 2015 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening until a premature close due to lack of patronage. Self-fulfilling perhaps as latecomers will be deterred by risk of failure in future.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Volden - VIM3.80AcceptableSlight haze, OK easy drinking
King Beer (formerly W.J. King) - Brighton Best4.00Not Tried

01 Nov 2015 (Philip Pirrip)
After midnight early morning visit until close. Some halloweeners in evidence and the music turned up high.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Clarkshaws - Hellhound IPA5.50PoorNo more an IPA than I am. Clip says naturally hazy but, as Blackadder might say, this was as murky as Mr Murk who has just been appointed Professor of Murk at Oxford University. Needed lemonade aplenty to finish it
Volden - VIM3.80PoorUgh what have they done to this brew. Needed lemonade aplenty

The pub is found in Lewisham, Greater London, SE13 6NR.

Formerly The Coach & Horses and recently re-opened as part of the "Antic Collective". A large pub in Lewisham High Street, just south of the Ladywell baths complex and H.E. Olby's Plumbing Centre. One very large bar area with lots of floor space. One feature of the newly re-opened house is an array of 5 handpumps and the introduction of a gamut of guest beers from London and more widespread and the sale of a hand pumped cider. A welcome addition to the Lewisham real ale scene. Has a bar billiards table in use and a table football table. Regular live bands play and a small dancing area is provided. Antic closed the pub on 30th October 2016 in "preparation" for its opening of a currently closed pub in the Lewisham market area.

We have visited this pub 183 times, seen 307 different beers and tried 184 of them.
