Busy with diners and drinkers on a Sunday lunchtime. All the beers were brewed using green hops. I lost my notes, so am a bit hazy regarding names and ABVs.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Swan on the Green - Bewick5.30GoodLots of flavour, a little sour tasting but in good condition. A little strong for a lady.
Swan on the Green - Ginger3.60PoorOthers in our group gave this a low score and left the beer. Cloudy and past its best.

Decided to go head out to the sticks for some upmarket scran with the good lady (with her driving, natch). A comfortable number of diners and drinkers. Food was excellent as expected. I love this place, its location and the beer from the on-site microbrewery. Second-guessing which of the ales will be in super and not-so-super nick is all part of the fun. All are very nice when at their best though.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Swan on the Green - Fuggles Pale Ale3.60ExcellentDark amber, sulphurous nose, great depth of flavour for a relatively low ABV. Delicious tangy fuggles hops. Pretty excellent all round.
Swan on the Green - Trumpeter4.00GoodMalty brown best with sweet flavours and pleasant counterweight hops.
Swan on the Green - Cygnet4.20GoodLight brown hoppy spring ale, tasty but a little flat on this occasion.
Swan on the Green - Bewick5.30AcceptableDarker strong ale with the slightest of haze. Some of the trademark toffee/chocomalts pushing through but a tad sour and less than its optimum best.

The second stop in the Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay CAMRA branch's Mystery Bus Tour. I've not been here before but always wanted to go. There were a handful of locals in. Before going to the toilets make sure you know whether you're a Cob or a Hen.

Came here with Phil L. Had a lovely meal (I had lamb shank, he had calves liver and bacon). Fairly busy for a Thursday night with plenty of people eating. Good atmosphere and service.

Second one in on a Friday lunchtime. Friendly staff and a choice of 5 of the Swan's handpull bitters. Really like the location and atmosphere of this pub. Cycled here from West Malling station which takes just under 30 minutes.
