Late afternoon busy around the bar though 3 seats were available at the corner side so purloined those while the effervescent friendly barmaid found time to chat to us between orders.

Also not visited since last year but just grand for real ale and military curiosities on the walls, and even the leaded windows are something to behold in this fine Victorian pub. Certainly not disappointed with five real ales on and continued with the green hop theme of my visit. Very warm, friendly welcome and prompt service for this mid-afternoon visit with just a couple of others in and sitting at the bar for the odd banter with.

5 beers on again and the usual great collection with cool beers! Interesting to read magnus comments on whats happened to previous scribes, Oz 11 and..forgotten. Are they still with us? Know we postcards excel, but not aware of others. Martin the mild man?

The pub is found in Ramsgate, Kent, CT11 9JS.
A small corner pub on a hill, West Cliff Road, not far from the town centre. It has a rather rambling interior with the main seating area raised above the bar floor and a basement seating area too. Glorious stained glass street windows. 6 handpumps on the bar counter enhanced to make 9 in 2022.
