20:00 visit. As I'm on vacation this week, I came here for the jam night, which is very popular, and goes on quite late too, and the ale range changed as we imbibed. Quite busy and only a few Stones footie fans passed by post-match tonite.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Arkell's - 3B4.00ExceptionalThird new ale on tonite. The best sample I've had all evening. Dark and delicious. Clings to the jug all the way down. Nice to sample this one and from such an historic family brewery from down Swindon way, established in 1843. Very good.
North Yorkshire - Fools Gold4.60ExcellentVery good.
Crouch Vale - Yakima Gold4.20ExcellentStill in top condition.
Sunny Republic - Beach Blonde3.70ExcellentThe second new ale on tonite. Not heard of this one. Another very light type.
Adnams - Flame Runner3.90ExcellentSelling well.
Salopian - Conundrum3.80ExcellentTwas' a bit of a conumdrum, choicewise, when mine host put three new ales on just like that! This one, a very light, pale, citrusy type.

20:00 visit. A quiet night, with none of the chaps about, so I used the FREE pub PC to write these words and have a quiet read in the corner! The ales changed slightly as I wrote, which was good, with a few gaps, as expected at this time. (Take note, this pub will always be very busy for pre and post match drinking, on any Stones' home matchday, particularly on a Saturday! No TV's here, but at least some Stones' fans know where to find the best Real Ale pub in town?). Nuff said......
BeerABVScoreNotes
Naylor's - Black & Tan4.40ExceptionalLovely dark un'. Lots going on in this one.
Kent - Spring Wheat4.80ExceptionalNew on since my last visit. Superb. A 5* Wheat beer. Not a continental type, but very close. Great taste. Left a nice hue on my empty glass it did!
Crouch Vale - Yakima Gold4.20ExcellentA "tic"! Just came on as I finished typing these words? Very nice, pale and hoppy type.
Adnams - Flame Runner3.90ExcellentAnother "tic"! New on tonite to replace the Dent ale and another on the Olympic theme again. Not bad at all.

A late one with a huge crowd in watching the band. Pub was busy all day with footie fans. 9 beers were seen but the rabbi(also known as Kentish Al) gave details of some of them in his Friday report.

2130 visit. End of my working week, and start of a week off said work. Time to imbibe and the Pot is the Place to Beer tonite with all nine pumps on. Me and the gang departed early at 0130 as we needed to be fit and ready for the MUFC homecoming match at the brand new Gallagher Stadium on Saturday?
BeerABVScoreNotes
Kent - Pale4.00ExceptionalA fresh barrel. The best ale in Kent.
Dent - Aviator4.00ExcellentA replacement for a Saltaire Wheat type that I'd just missed. An oldie. Last "ticked" in 2003 at the Bent & Bongs b/f. Very good.
Green Jack - Trawlerboys Best Bitter4.60ExcellentA new ale for me. Went down well.
Royal Tunbridge Wells - Royal Best Bitter4.10ExcellentOn form again.
Everards (see entries against Joule's & Robinsons whilst its new brewery was being built) - Truman's Runner4.00ExcellentA third new ale tonite! This might need editing. Pump clip says something re: East London. Didn't note any reference to Everards. Very good though, two pints devoured.
Saltaire - Tyke's Gold4.40ExcellentSecond "tic" tonite. Spot on.
Skinner's - Ginger Tosser3.80GoodNice to get this seasonal offering, and we all agreed, and asked, "where's the Ginger"?
