26 Dec 2012 (Philip Pirrip)
Look in and walked along the line of pumps but nowt was going to be able to follow the Tap East concoctions of earlier in the day.
04 Aug 2012 (Philip Pirrip)
First visit after re-opening. Very crowded at 2250 hours. Much brighter and colourful inside than before and a general refresh all round. Charged £2.79 for my pint which did not seem to match the price list and is expensive for a suburban 'Spoon's.
Tring - Side Pocket for a Toad | 3.60 | | Smarting a little at the price |
Eagle (formerly Wells & Young's, formerly Charles Wells, formerly Wells) - Courage Best Bitter (use Marston's entry now please) | 4.00 | Not Tried
Greene King - Abbot | 5.00 | Not Tried
Greene King - Ruddles Best (was 3.7%) | 3.40 | Not Tried
Celt Experience (now brands are owned by Evans Evans) - Native Storm | 4.40 | Not Tried
10 Jul 2012 (Philip Pirrip)
Re-opened today as promised. I was elsewhere so could not be at the "first day cover" event. Reports say it was crowded in mid to late evening. A welcome return for Woolwich drinkers.
29 Jun 2012 (Philip Pirrip)
Still closed but work towards re-opening is now in seemingly final stages. The latest report I have seen says ............ The Great Harry is getting there. The hoardings are down and new windows have been fitted, bar and pumps installed and the painters and sparks are busy. Looking good to go for the official 10 July opening, that's what banner outside says.
20 Mar 2010 (Alenomore)
En-route to Rosey's and always worth a look in here. Hildens Gael Rua tasted good too!
Hilden - Gael Rua | 4.30 | | On top form here. Very good. |
