I had a couple of jobs I needed to do, like clean my bike and finish of a letter to a friend, so I thought what better way of doing that than by sitting in a pub? I took my bike round to the outside seating of The Swan, ordered my pint and sat down on the tressle bench and cleaned my bike with a tea towel I'd brought with me whilst talking about bikes and Liverpool to an Irish scouser who was sat next to me.

Wychwood (now brewed at Banks's) - Big Bertha4.00AcceptableChestnut, lasting beige head. No great condition, but tasted fresh enough. Wychwood yeast, and some rich malt fruit aroma. OK on the swallow, nice enough, malty best bitter with Wychwood yeast character and all for £1.75 a pint.
Marston's - Wychwood Hobgoblin IPA (was Ruby Beer, was Hobgoblin)4.50Not TriedOnly £1.75 a pint

I haven't been here for years, but Chris Excell told me they were serving Wychwood beers at £1.75 a pint. And they were!!!!! Had a pint and then went home, but there was the promise of 2 more beers coming on as soon as the handpumps were repaired.
