12:00 Parked near the Plough and were making our way into the city centre. The weather was atrocious and we glimpsed the coal fire through the window. It beckoned us in. Just one other customer. The barmaid also works at the brewery so my questions about the new beers were answered with accuracy.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Grain - Lignum Vitae6.50ExceptionalRe-badged IPA with a tweaked hop recipe. Superb clarity, tight head, and a resinous hop taste.
Grain - Winter Ash5.00GoodFirst time I have seen this beer. Badged as rich, Belgian and candy. Needs a bit more body.

Friday evening. Busy but managed to get a seat as the crowd was in the extensive garden.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Grain - Blonde Ash4.00ExcellentAn excellent example of a wheat beer.

Beautiful pub that has been given a trendy interior with mood lighting and fashionable cocktails. Very good beer though and a comfortable place to sink a few.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Grain - Blackwood Stout5.00ExcellentGreat smoky stout.

Quite busy in the late afternoon, with the rear garden very popular on a warm day.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Grain - Redwood4.80ExcellentA chestnut-coloured, rich-tasting, malty beer with plenty of hops and I think just a hint of roast barley. In superb condition.

The pub is found in Norwich, Norfolk, NR2 4AR.

This former Bullards Brewery (later Watney’s) house was present by 1822 and closed in 2009. It was then acquired by the Grain Brewery as its first tied house and brewery tap and re-opened in April 2010 following an extensive refurbishment. The frontage has attractive plasterwork signage, and there is an unexpectedly large beer garden at the rear.

We have visited this pub 10 times, seen 15 different beers and tried 8 of them.
