Lunchtime. A large group of chaps were in seemingly drinking lager. Well someone has to I suppose. I'd not been here for over 10 years but it was much as I remembered. The staff were friendly too.

I got train times mixed up so had an hour to spare and I kinda remembered the way here even though I haven't been here in at least 5 years. I sat upstairs listening to Beethoven, reading and having a thoroughly splendid time.

Quaint half timbered Grade II listed pub with a split level interior. Picturesque on the exterior and snug on the interior. An application to Maidstone Borough Council for Asset of Community Value status for this pub was turned down in mid 2013.
