A very enthusiastic and welcoming landlord. Needless to say that as this is a predominantly a cider house that was the most popular drink in here, with Vimto Cider making an appearance. I sat at the round table at the back and the 1960s chairs reminded me of the famous Christine Keeler photograph.

The pub is found in Dover, Kent, CT16 1EB.

Micropub at the north end of High Street, majoring on selling ciders and perries, which opened on 26th November 2015 in the former Corner Cafe. Situated on 2 rustically furnished levels with the upper one up 4 stairs which leads to the temperature controlled cellar room from which draught ciders, perries and ales are served on gravity dispense. Up to 20-25 ciders / perries and usually two ales, initially cask ales but latterly beer sold on KeyKeg dispense. The licensee's partner runs a by-appointment only hair salon in a rear room. Closed Mondays (except bank holidays). 2017 local CAMRA branch Cider Pub of the Year. On 9th September the venue announced it will close permanently on 24th September 2022. Plans were advancing to open by Christmas 2022 as a micropub with new operators and called The Staggered Inn. Re-opened Friday 16th December 2022 with cask ale on gravity dispense.
