Batemans - XXXB (now superseded by 4.8% version) | 4.50 | Crimson rouge, sparkling clarity, full rounded fruity malts and a warming finish. Delicious. And I was shocked to see that ours were virtually the last pints out of the barrel.
Beartown (latterly part of Manning Brewers) - Snoopy's Special | 4.20 | This is what coming to this pub is all about. Cracking guest beers in super nick. Fruity and crispy golden wonder, female-friendly and pleasant to the non-bitter end. We all stayed on this until kicking out time.
Greene King - Flanker's Tackle | 4.30 | I fell into the trap of buying this as GK had done everything they could to disguise the fact that this was one of their beers. A tiny 2mm crown logo on the pumpclip was all that gave it away. This was fresh on, amber-gold, very heavily malted and typically disappointing.

The pub is found in Bromley, Greater London, BR1 3LG.
Easily the best traditional pub in Bromley and, yes, it is tied to Greene King. Presumably came into the possession of Greene King via its previous Beard's of Lewes ownership. Small and cosy in North Road, tucked well away in the backstreets, always bustling of an evening, great value food during the daytime. Big darts contingent and huge library of old books to read. GK IPA and Abbot, Harvey's Sussex Best and two guests, one of which is usually from GK's over-extended family. Landlord is a local hero. All browsers of this website are urged to visit this hard to find location in the web of little roads north of Bromley North railway station. 5 handpumps.
We have visited this pub 12 times, seen 22 different beers and tried 11 of them.
